Chef/restaurateur John Howie's definitive NW steak house, serving custom-aged USDA Prime steaks, American Wagyu Beef, Australian Waygu beef, Japanese "A5" 100% Wagyu beef, fresh seasonal Pacific fish and seafoods, wild foraged mushrooms, and locally sourced fruits and vegetables. John Howie Steak features two wood fired grills, mesquite charcoal and applewood that add subtle flavors to the foods. The wine list features a "Best of Award of Excellence" from Wine Spectator. Enjoy classic and seasonal specialty cocktails, or the world’s finest single-malt scotch, bourbons and fine cognacs in the lounge. Two beautifully appointed private dining rooms are available for meetings or special occasions. A 20% service charge is included on each check. John Howie Steak retains 100% of the service charge. Our professional service team receives industry leading compensation.

We had our annual meal for our anniversary. It was very good as usual. Prices seemed to have jumped quite a bit since our last visit. We were also a bit disappointed that we didn't get a flourless chocolate cake for our anniversary as we have in year's past. We always thought it was a nice touch that went a long way towards separating John Howie from others

The steaks were delicious, especially the ribeye. I highly recommend trying the bananas foster for dessert. The atmosphere was great.

I made the mistake of ordering, "medium" for my steak, instead of, "medium-rare" which I usually do but could have sworn I was told to order that way. My bad....The server was courteous and professional.

I recently dined at John Howey Steakhouse. We visit John howie often, in fact this was our 3rd visit in less than 2 months. We brought our family visiting from out of town to celebrate a 40th bday and a 15th wedding anniversary and it was never acknowledged by the server. He also forgot to order one of the kids meals, and never offered compensation. The sommelier was also quite unfriendly and unkind. We return as often as do because of the service, but last nights visit was a real disappointment.
